Structural Build - up of Rigid Fiber Reinforced Cement - Based 1 Materials

چکیده
15 The structural build-up of rigid fiber reinforced cement-based materials is studied. It has 16 recently been shown that the behaviour of fiber reinforced concrete depends on the orientation 17 of the fibers that has to be optimized during casting. As a result, there is a great interest to 18 study the rheology of fiber reinforced concrete. One of the most important characteristic of 19 modern fresh concretes is the structural build-up which is involved in many recent issues of 20 concrete casting. This characteristic depends on the cement pastes chemical activity. This 21 present work shows that structural build-up modelling used for common concretes can be 22 generalized to fiber reinforced concretes. It can be shown that, if the inclusions percolation 23 threshold is not reached, the structural build-up rate A thix is amplified by the addition of fibers 24 and aggregates. Finally, this amplification of the structuration is estimated using modelling 25 initially developed for spherical inclusions and aggregates.

Simulation of Highly Ductile Fiber - Reinforced Cement - Based Composite Components Under Cyclic Loading
Ductile fiber-reinforced cement-based composites (DFRCCs) are being investigated for new design as well as retrofitting of structures in seismic regions. DFRCC is highly ductile and is characterized by strain-hardening in tension to strains over 3% and by unique cyclic loading behavior. To accurately predict the structural performance of DFRCC components under cyclic and seismic loading, a robu...

The sustainability of the built environment is increasingly coming to the forefront of infrastructure design and maintenance decisions. To address this, development of a new class of more sustainable cement-based materials is needed. Fiber reinforced self-consolidating mortar (FRSCM) was developed by optimizing the micromechanical parameters, which control composite properties in the hardened s...
متن کاملNonlinear and Sequentially Linear Analysis of Tensile Strain Hardening Cement-based Composite Beams in Flexure
High performance fiber reinforced cement-based composite (HPFRCC) materials have unique properties that are advantageous for many structural applications. In direct tension these materials can reach strains between 0.5% and 6% depending on material and specimen geometry. The large tensile strain capacity allows these materials to strain compatibly with steel reinforcement and achieve higher ten...
متن کاملPalm kernel fruit fiber reinforced gypsum-cement based wall panels: It’s physical and mechanical characteristics
Agricultural waste fibers have been found to be suitable as reinforcement in cement-based composites, but studies on oil palm fiber as reinforcement in gypsum-cement wall panels are scarce. A mixture of two equal weights of gypsum and cement, with water-binder ratios of 0.45 and 0.55 were prepared. In each mix a varying percentage of fiber contents of 2%, 3% and 4% by weight of the binders were...

AIMS The aim was to evaluate the incidence of root fracture of endodontically treated teeth reinforced with glass-fiber posts and metal posts luted with different luting cements. MATERIALS AND METHODS Forty maxillary central incisors were sectioned at 1 mm of the cementoenamel junction and endodontically treated. The teeth were divided into four groups (n = 10) and restored with prefabricated...
